Meet The Green Team: Maryanne Orchard

We sat down with Maryanne Orchard, Business Coordinator at Peppermint Technology, to get to know a bit more about her and hear about what makes life at Peppermint so great!

How long have you been working at Peppermint?

7 years on 4th July!

What’s your favourite memory of working at Peppermint?

Its not really one thing. I can name lots of things that I have done here at Peppermint that are amazing in their own way, like coordinating sending Christmas gifts to people with nothing at Framework, (and I mean piles of gifts), volunteering at Nottingham Pride, going all out for Halloween, to racing around the building for the egg & spoon race!

What has been your greatest achievement during your time working at Peppermint?

I was given the Together Award in 2021 which I was most surprised and humbled at receiving.

Who do you enjoy working with the most at Peppermint?

This isn’t an evasive answer, but I enjoy working with everyone. Peppermint has recruited an amazing bunch of people who embraces everything we do – especially the charity days.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love reading, I read every day – I will attempt to read anything (except for biographies & autobiographies), but I tend to read everything by a particular author before moving on to the next! My favourite author is Stephen King and I love things that go bump in the night!

What would your dream holiday destination be?

Erm, this one is difficult as I have been to a couple of places that were on my list! I have been to Acapulco, Cancun, Egypt, Dominican Republic, and Cyprus, among others. I enjoy going to places here in the UK. I love Whitby and York as I find Vikings fascinating. So, I suppose the dream destination would be Scandinavia the home of the Vikings (although I wouldn’t want to come home!).
